Addressing causes to chronic poverty
Education grants/bursaries – retention up to vocational training levels
- 25 13 – 20-year-olds students benefitted from education grant/bursaries from Allan & Nesta Ferguson Trust and from Panasonic UK and achieved Vocation and Professional qualifications from various institutions in Uganda, including Makerere, Mbarara, Lira Medical Laboratory Training Centre, St Katherine and Aboke High School.
- From 2016 – 2019, 150 orphanage students who progressed to Secondary up to vocational training colleges benefitted.
- From 2022 – 2024, 14 students at various colleges, like Makerere, UCI and Aduku UCC branch have benefited from LCT bursaries.
Youth mentoring and income generating model 2023-2025
- 30 youth have benefitted from the Mentoring and Business model, such as leadership, apprenticeship and hairdressing to generate income.
- 300 youth participants have benefitted from agro-farming model for income generation and food production.
- Over 3,000 community members have developed interest in duplicating the model within Lango sub-region within the next three years.
